Ok, I know it's not supposed to be done this way, but I did it anyway :P
I pulled my already-formatted HD out of my p4p board, and popped it in the P4GD1. BIOS recognized the drive, but I keep getting blue screens right before windows loads. I tried booting into safe mode, and the blue screen shows up right after it tries to load AGP440.sys. I'm assuming it's looking for AGP, when this board has PCI-e.
Is there any way to get this HD working on the P4GD1 without doing a complete reformat?

Is it an old windows install that your switching over onto the p4gd1?
If so i'd recommend a format/new install anyway since its all new hardware
try chkdisk /r
that should fix it

put the drive back into your original system, remove all the drivers from device manager, turn off the computer, put the drive on the p4gd1, and it should work then

My 2 cents: Take the way that you know is right. Format the drive then you are sure all is well..

Yeah I finally gave in and did a reformat, which fixed the driver issues. However I'm still having problems with the bios recognizing all of my drives. Is there any way to get 1 IDE hard drive and 2 DVD drives to work on this board? I've tried multiple different configurations between the single blue IDE and the two IDE RAID, and can't seem to get them all to work at the same time. The controller for the RAID ports is set to IDE in BIOS. What am I missing?

Tried to install the driver for the iTE controller? Have both DVD drives connected to the single blue connector.

Hmm, I didn't think about that. When HD is plugged into master RAID, it recognizes it during IDE scan, but doesn't pick it up in BIOS. Therefore windows doesn't recognize it while trying the install. I suppose you're talking about pressing F6 during installation?
I just went ahead and purchased a PCI SATA Raid controller and two 250GB hard drives. Hopefully that will alleviate the problem.

Exactly. ;)

Yes, but you still have to install drivers while installing Windows if Windows doesn't support (have drivers) the controller.
Anyway, have a nice time overclocking your setup! :toast:

I see, and thanks for the help! I look forward to getting her up and running -- I can't wait to see what this x1900xt can do on here. My 770 only did 2750 (air) on the unmodded P4P, I'm hoping the slight overvolting this board does will give it a little boost.
