Hey people..
I got a Dangerden TDX, plexitop...
Would I be insane putting my rig together with that watercooling head??
Or is -25 deg C liquid not to make it crack??
I wasnt aware of plexi+cold water issues...

I ran my TDX at -25c, it was OK. Over the long term I don't know, as I burnt that head up.

Plexi is going to crack on you without exposing it to cold temps...brass tops ftw

It won't crack but it will be very weak and brittle. I'd get a brass/delrin top even if you're not running chilled liquid.

works fine now, only issue, deltaT res/heads is quite high... +7 deg C on water, CPU load @ 36... - Quite extreme, but think the temp probe sux @ res... - cause GFX was 13 / 27..
CPU idle 17 deg C... - IHS is off... 19 deg higher load than idle, hmmm... - Didnt cool water down, warmed it up... GFX lacked in insulation... - was a bit icy yesterday... - just insulated it today, tomorrow GMT +1, 7:10 I'll turn on the chiller, I'll be home around 16:00 - think liquid is gonna be cold :)

It will probably work, but over time it could crack. I tried to stay away from blocks with clear tops when I got my system simply because some crack being in a normal water cooling system.

Plexi tops are stupid imo.
