Recently I made myself a chiller using an old kenmore AC unit and my http://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-H20-120-BK-REV3a-Kit-No-Water-Block-pr-2891.html (Swiftech WC rev3a) I just had a few questions about it. One being, will the waterblock and tubing be ok at up to -25C? (Also will a maze4, plastic top.) Also, will that damage the pump? Another thing I was wondering was this; I put glycol in my cooler with the evap - I was wondering if I should fill the cooler up all the way (since it's only 1/2 filled now) and the top of the evap is super cold still. Or will that hurt performance at all? Im planning on only running the compresser like 15-20mins at a time for everyday useage - And probaly keep the comp on for benching and long gaming. So I figured if I fill the cooler all the way up, that will give it longer before I have to run the compressor again. But Im also looking for best performance as well. Also, does the colder the condensor get mean the colder the evap will get? If so, does it only stop helping once the R22 to its boiling point? Or if I were to REALLY cool that condenser would that improve performance alot? The stock fan that came with the AC unit was about 10X too loud, so I replaced that with 2 shrouded 120mm fans. The area of both shrouds covers about 80% of the condensor. Also, I was wondering about sound proofing the compressor. It is very loud, is there a good way to sound proof it? Lastly, and most importantly - Insulating my CPU. I have tryed using polyeurathane laminate underlayment (lol) since its just a white foam, and insulates good; the only problem is I dont know how to insulate the bottom of my waterblock. I have tryed using the foam and cutting it to the shape of the bottom of my block then cutting a slightly bigger than the proc hole in the middle. It never touched the core, and I ALMOST turned it on lol. BTW - my opteron 165 is naked. What should I do for this?
Thanks in advance!

Yuu want to cover the evaporator with liquid, fill it up to above the top of the evap.

Post some pics of your chiller if you can.

Thanks, that was EXTREMLY helpfull. I am glad I asked before I put on the block hehe.

EDIT: I will try to post some pics once I get to use my friends cam. BTW, any suggestions on a digital cam for things like this?
