Nice results, but GEIL won't ever produce an IC on their own. It sure is an IC that's already available on the market, but noone realized that it was capeable of such high clocks. Then GEIL bought the ICs and rebadged them. I wouldn't call that "GEIL have produced this NEW IC CODENAME: EMPEROR". I'd rather say "GEIL labled a new IC named EMPEROR". :D

Well, I think TCCD is still better.... How much do they cost ?? TCCD does 300mhz 2,5-3-3-8 and this stuff only 310mhz 2,5-4-4-8 and 270 2-3-3-8. UTT and TCCD are still better. I think those chips are Hynix. Or maybe Mosel.

I'm not interrested in DDR1 anymore. I'm looking forward to 800mhz Micron DDR2 that would kick every DDR1's ass !! Btw Fatbody D9's are already doing that, but Intel is still on their Netburst architecture, when the good Yonah and Conroe and AM2 boards/cpu arrive, DDR1 is dead

good results it seems to me. you guys got to remember, the more competition in the market, the cheaper the prices, and better the products :D maybe these will take on some of ocz's offerings? right now, seems ocz and ballistix got a hold on the DDR1 high perfomance/density market.
anyone else notice that the pcb looks kinda short? and you cant see any of the chips bottoms. maybe its an ic with bga package? wouldnt be the first ram from geil to use a ic with bga package, pop the spreaders?

they're looking similar to Hynix, so it could be ProMOS ICs.
and one more thing... ATM no-one can claim they don't need cooling and that running them @3V is safe. only time will tell... just like in Ballistix case.
I wondered about active cooling, so i got my Fluke 52 out...

If they like more volts, thats awesome. I just wonder how long they will survive with that kind of juice..
If they are not like TCCD, that would be awesome. But one thing is, seems like these don't scale as well as TCCD? I mean TCCD goes quite a distance from trcd of 3 to 4. You did 2-3-3 at 270, and 300 at 2.5-4-4... with quite a bit of volts too.
Maybe a good replacement for TCCD, but would it be a worthy successor?
My best results with TCCD were 2.5-4-3 at 300MHz and 2.50v. If you can best those timings, I am there.

Why can't Use my new GEIL ULTRA-X PC4400 with MSI NEO2 NF3 more than 250MHZ 1:1 ??? I'm instable at more frequences....Isn't compatible with this Mboard ???

you not have emperor IC, you have tccd IC ;)

I was able to overlock memory at 450 with 1.5-3-3-5 timings. //Default timings are 2.5-4-4-7, or something like that // ;)
In case A64 is not showing correct valueas, I giving bios numbers.

Is dangerous a voltage of 3V-3.1V on this RAM or not ???
I Can set it to 270x10 CAS 2-3-3-6 with my OPTERON 146....Or 285 CAS 2.5-4-4-8......Are they a good Ram ???
I even tryed to feed this memory with 3.5 Volts of energy :) End now they are still working, so basicaly.. YES this is good one form GEIL. But in this chips I got feeling, that the lover voltahe the better memory likes it, not like some Winbond UTT chips who required a LOT of voltage.

TTCD ?? you mean Winbond UTT (requires high vdimm)
TCCD on the other hand doesn't like high voltage at all.

For GIGI77 ??? My new GEIL ULTRA-X are not EMPEROR but TCCD ??? Are you sure ??? The serial is: PN1730-SN6000012....
I Have crash of the system "riavvio" in Italian, if i use PRIME 95....It's stable .only with 166 divisor and RAm at 250MHZ CAS 2.5-3-3-7 or 2.5-4-4-7.....Il i set SPD the timigns are 2.5-3-3-5...Are TCCD my ram ???
Why can't i use at more frequences with MSI NF3 ???
Thanks

I'm not sure I've got a set of these Emperor modules :
PN 1799 SN6000069
SPD timings are 232MHZ 2-5-5-9 / 250 2,5-5-5-9
Can anyone confirm ?

thanks Ianocean, but I don't have much luck with these Geil sticks.
I guess I must have a setting wrong.
trp = 2 is a no go , 2-3-3-6 is the best it can do.
I can't boot over 220Mhz with cas2.
I'm currently testing 260Mhz 2,5-4-3-7 2,84vdimm.
drive strength 7 / 3 gives best stability (or so it seems )
See screenshot for the settings.

@Jaco boost the VDimm up to 3.0v -seems that voltage is sweet spot...but use some active cooling

Thanks for the tips, guys.
I've got 265Mhz 2,5-4-3-7 @ 3,0v 95% stable (error after 2h30m prime )
The sticks get really hot at 3,0v , even with active cooling.
I'm giving them a solid burn-in , hoping for a few mhz extra :D

@Jaco...an advise do not burn it over 2.95v and do not exceed 3.1-3.15 when benching

Well, I was able to get till 295Mhz and runing sure stable.
But before you say 295 Mhz is lame - look ar the NUMBERS of Super PI calucaltion (it`s faster, then some guys could do on 30X Mhz) and for example Everest REad performance, and memory latency. :) Only stuff, I would like to beter Write performance of the memory.
Propably you could somehov give me idea, how to improve this performance? Oh yeah.. memory voltage 3.0.
P.S: Tryed even 3.5Volts on stick.. they are still runing and no smoke :) LOL

yeah the Emperor doesnt do trp 2.
but with 2.5 it flies.

I picked up a set. I like them, but have not played with them too much. I will try them out and post some SS.
gigi77: What's the highest you got them to run a cas2 and could I see your settings at that speed for the bios? I've run them through memtest at 2-3-3-6 at 260, but not in windows yet where it really matters. And if you did not already do so could you post your 300 timings for bios. Please. :) Thanks again.

got ddr600 with somehow tight alphas at 3.0v
i've had a lot of work on college and little time i'll try more soon, room temp was "high" i'll try more volts and lower room temps
