Hi,

Im planing a TEC config based on a 152w 15.2v 10A pelt with a meanwell 150w 15v 10A.

Will it work fine with an Opteron 146 (less than 100w) around 3.1ghz ?

Thanks.

Not very well.

You might get a little better temps than plain water, but you need a bigger TEC to get any real gains.

Worth a try if your not spending any money, but dont expect great results.
If you are thinking of buying this stuff I would get somehting bigger from the start.

Expect crappy loads, (possibly worse than normal water) as you will need to run the peltier at max to even cool the idles. You need a 320watter that you can lower to the 240 range to really get the better temperatures.

Thanks, the meanwell and the peltier are around 30€, the idle temps could be good, but as you said the full temps will be very hot, specially with the hot opteron 146 (around 45º full with normal water).

The problem its that a better config will need a better meanwell and a better pelt, and thats a pretty much cost :(.

Thanks!
