I've got an 8RDA+ for a couple of days now, and everytime I do something to it I have to reset the bios a couple of times before I can use it again. It posts fine at safety defaults, but won't post to more interesting settings until I clear the BIOS about 4-5 times. It's like it has to get used to the new stuff on it or something, after some fighting with the BIOS it works fine :)

This happened to me when I first installed the board fresh out of the box, yesterday when I upgraded the NB and SB cooling, and about half an hour ago after I did the VDD mod.

Anymore people who have this problem?

BTW, when I use the CCMOS jumper to clear the bios and press the power button the system powers up and the led says CF, instead of just silently clearin the CMOS chip like other boards do. This normal? :)

Could you specify some of the setting you're trying to change and list your system specs. It could be that you're making adjustments that your hardware can't handle, or something similar. I never have tha problem, and when I do they insert key clearing method I only have to do it once for it to work.

I'm guessing something you're setting is wrong, or you got a weird BIOS chip...where did you purchase from?

For specs see sig, and the settings I'm changing to DO work after a couple of retries... So I don't think it's my hardware which can't handle it

Settings I tried the last time it went crappy on me:

10.5 x 205, Optimal CPU / FSB, mem @ 100%, 5-2-2-2, 66 FSB, the rest default.

Note that I have run stable with those settings, now even a bit higher FSB.

2.000 VCore, 1.7 VAGP, 2.9 VDIMM, 1.85 VDD

No interesting changes in the other sections.

BIOS 3117 BTW.

I got the board from maXpert, a small online shop in the Netherlands with a very good reputation.

Hm, it seems that the problem happens if I just unplug the power... I installed a new PSU earlier tonight, and I had to fight with the BIOS again until I had it up & running...
