Im now running water cooling just got it up and running, Now before i had a SI-120 and the 120mm fan blowing through it cooling it off. But now under load my temps on the PWMIC are like 55c where before they were 48c under load, I did up the volts on my cpu to 1.53v and im over clocking higher, but was wondering whats a safe temp and how high sholud i let it go.

around 50-60c are normal temps, and these are safe...
higher volts, higher temps...
mine is @ 52c load when pumping 1.46vcore (bios read)
60c+ when pumping 1.6v+

Cool I think i will still add a fan blowing on the MB but i wanted to make sure it was ok. Thanks

yea, mine were getting up into the 60's when under load. It made me uncomfortable, so I jammed a fan in my case and bread tied it so it points to the area where the 24pin power cable connects. Now my temps on pwmic are usually under 40 loaded.

Heh, put a dual core in there and watch those temps soar. Temps went up a good 20c using a 165 instead of a 148...

I've read somewhere else that these things are safe to 100c or something crazy like that

Yeah, with my 3700+ SDm PWM temps never went over 38C, now PWM temps top at 48C load dual prime.

Mine are idling at 36 now...stock 170/vcore (1.350??)

I had 80C without any cooling on them with high voltage and overclock. It was stable! Put on a 7V silent fan and they dropped 15C with the same setup.
