Anyone know of any guides on tweaking the 8RDA+ BIOS? I'm getting 12k while someone else is getting 14k with almost the exact same hardware (different brands) and same drivers.... wtf?

It most likely is not BIOS issues, but probably driver issues in windows. Perhaps he installed them in a better order, defragged and generally did things that imporve your score. Pilsy has a thread (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8596) which helps a lot. If you've done all that sorry, it just seems like there isn't anything he could have done in BIOS other than AGP aperture size (128mb), timings, and disabling things like serial, USB, and everything you don't need.

Hold on, I didn't see you have an R9700p. 12k with that card and surely an Oced 2400+ is a little low don't you think? Are you sure you're on AGP 8x or 4x, not 2x? It's a problem Ihad with my 8RDA+, I couldn't run over 1x until I uniinstalled and reinstalled all drivers and programs. You got a compare link so we can see?

Yeah, 12k seems really low for that hardware given I can hit 12k with much less.

but I would tend to agree that it's more likely driver issues rather than BIOS optimizations (although that couldn't hurt).

12k is my stock clock. With my 9700 at 438/357 and my 2400 at 190x11.5 I only got 14k, which is what I've seen people getting stock with my same setup...

I replied in the other thread but I think around 14k stock sounds right. Like I said.... in August i ran a 9700 pro with my xp1600 at around 1950mhz and pulled 13990.
