so far this thing is useless.
all it does is crash my PC, after trying to allocate it as a active drive.

I see no drivers, or options to trouble shoot it.
I have roughly 15 gigs of ram to choose from, and regaurdless of the ram used, it will just freeze when trying to allocate it as a active drive.

so whats the secret to getting this thing to work??

Mine works fine without a single crash. I am setup 2GB for virtual memory space.

YOu remembered to install your SATA drivers into window right?

the only drivers available on Gigabytes website, is a chipset driver for Nvidia hardware.

I tried that, it did nothing.
the problem continues.
I cannot enable the ram drive, once windows sees it.
all it does is freeze the PC while initializing the drive...

Between this and the ram problems, when are you switching to Intel?

Im sure you had your eye on a Presler to put under the cascade.

I figured out the problem...

its the Nvidia IDE Drivers.
if you install them before you install the IRam then it will just freeze your PC soon after trying to install it.
I know of no way to fix that, cause I saw no way to remove the Nvidia IDE chipset drivers, other then reinstalling old ones over it... but that didn't help.

I finally just disconnected all my drives, and went to see if I could just install windows on the Iram itself.
that went fine...

then it came time to install the chipset drivers.
then it froze soon after completion...
then kept freezing just like it did before.

so I reinstall windows again... install the chipset drivers and then it does it again...

so I again... reinstall windows... then it says "want to install the Nvidia IDE drivers" I hit no... cause thats the only thing I could think of that would be doing anything wrong...

now, it's fine.
been running for the last 20 minutes with this thing as the main OS drive.

not too impressed really...
it was a pain in the ass at first, cause windows allocates 2 gigs of space for page file, so I was constantly getting a message that windows needed to be defragmented... then I would try it... and it would say, theres no space left to defrag... so I disabled the page file, rebooted, and then had 2 gigs of space again... and no more annoying windows reminding me to defrag...

so far...
I gotta say, I am not really that impressed with it.
it doesn't seem any faster then my 150 gig raptor drives, it definatly makes nicer benchmarks, but the real world feel of it, just isn't very impressive so far...
