Hi guys :)
I'm kinda new here, but I've already seen a piece of advice for this rams...
I have a DFI nF4 Ultra-D with an Opteron 146 (CABYE 0536 APMW @ 300*10 Stable, aircool XP-120, Vcore @ 1.58V)... My rams are 2 DDR500 Vitesta (512 Mb A-Data) and i'd like to make them run at their max...
The thing is, if I use a 5/6 ratio with 300fsb (it should be 300*5/6 = 250, so it should be OK:confused: ), i have problems once windows is loaded, with tons of VPU Recover (screen freezes, black screen, then VPU Recover, and it does it again 5s later)
So I've decided to use 3/4 ratio, which is stable @ 214MHz/ddr... But 214 i soo slow for a DDR500 (dual channel)...
So here is my question : I have a lot of settings for my timing, in the bios, and I don't know what to use with this rams and ths FSB.
Could someone tell me a complete config for this mobo/rams ? Because i'm pretty sure those rams could run @ 270-280 MHz :s
Oh yeah, I've already tried different timings, and I run 20 pass of Memtest (test #8) with 2/2/3/0, no errors... But i suppose if I want to run @ max, it should be 2.5/3/3/7:rolleyes:

I'm lost with Tref, Skew, Trwt, etc etc...
So if someone could give me a complete setting for those ddr timings, i'd be thankful :D

Thx a lot guys:banana:

welcome Canard-WC, we'll need to know what chips your ram has :)

I've started to take apart one of the 2 ddr, it was Hynix... can't have seen the rev, the rad was stuck
Can't have taken apart the other ddr, because it's *locked* by the XP-120:D
However, the 2 ddr were bought @ the same tme, same place, same hour... If i'm lucky, it's the same chips

Ouch. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the DFI doesn't play nicely with Vitesta PC4000. I LOVED my Vitesta set when I was using an MSI Neo2 Platinum, but the nF4 DFI LanParty series just didn't get the same great frequencies with them.

I'd say either live with the limitations or get something else and sell the Vitesta set to somebody using another kind of mobo.

At least, thx for answering me =D
I've spend 10 mins tu switch between yellow slots and orange slots... Now I can run @ DDR500 (300*5/6) @ Vddr = 2.7V... Before that, I couldnt run even with 3.3V !
I tried a DDR540 (with 300*9/10) but U had errors with memtest (~100)... I'm pretty sure if I let a memtest for 1-2 days:cool: it'll be OK:D

Thx a lot, i'll keep you informed !
