new windows install on 150gig raptor acting strnage with old HDD in the comp,, ???

okay need some advice,,, my computer is acting alittle funky since putting in the new raptor 150 gig,,, here is the problem

my OS was originally on a partion of my 300gig so to prep for the raptor i moved everything I needed onto the other partion and put in the raptor,,, loaded the windows install CD and then proceededto install the OS on the raptor,,, once I was in windows I tried to format the partion on the 300gig that had my old windows install but it wouldnt let me so I just deleted all the folders includeing windows manually...

well now when I reboot i get the option to pick which windows install i want to run,,, even though for one there is no files to load,,, this worked well for about a day till now when I go to run windows it just keeps at the loading screen forever,,,, it can load safe mode but not normal windows,,,

not sure how to get the old windows image off my 300gig without having to format the whole thing,,,, and if i just try to boot with my raptor as teh only drive it doesnt find the OS,,,

Take about 100 DVDs and back up what you want

unplug(power and data) on the 300 gig.Boot.. Format the raptor again and reinstall windows on it. shut down, plug in the 300 gig, make sure it's not in the boot list in the BIOS and when you get to windows you should be ok.
I would then move all the data you want to keep from that 300 to the raptor, format the 300 and then move the data back..
A pain but that should take care of your problem.
