So I checked stats today and NOTHING done yesterday. I hit update for BOINC client and minimize it. I just check again and still nothing happened. My settings got set back to use account preferences so I changed it to always work and reloaded the client and still nothing. I'm about to uninstall it for good.
Actually it seems it won't download anything. What port does rosetta use? Router may be blocking me.

Q. Which ports does Rosetta@Home need open?
A. Port 80 (http) is used for most communications with the project servers. Port 443 (https) is used if the password is being exchanged . Ports 1043 and 31416 are used for local control as well as for remote control of a BOINC client. 1043 is preferred and 31416 is a fall back. Unless you are RPC'ing over the Internet don't open 1043 and 31416 in your non-local firewall specifically for BOINC.

I have a WRT54G... Do I need to open port 80 or what?

tried clicking "update" in the project tab and watching what the messages say then checking the project tab to see if you get the "communication deffered xx:xx:xx" message?

Thats a mess! I'd try uninstalling and reinstalling..
Did you by any chance use the wrong file for the optimiser?
That MD5 check failure is what bothers me.
Is this normally a stable PC?

run some stability tests, memtest and prime95 small/large for sure.

It's been running rosetta 24/5 for 12 days untill this happened and I've been playing NFSMW all day. OCs are fine.

On MikeePc. Also some couldn't get input files also, never had this happen b4. My wifes is fine
I will keep an eye on it to see if it's me or them (rosetta). Been fine since then. Wondering if that meant the files were bad / corrupted
Been running like this for couple of weeks now, only time I reboot is for mickeysoft or the cleaning lady.

There are two reasond you could be seeing those MD5 errors.
1: Your PC is overclocked too much or seriously overheating.
2: Your ISP uses caching web proxies.
If you suspect No 2 could be the cause then go to your general prefs and set
Skip image file verification? to yes
Dont forget to do the same for home and work if you have seperate prefs for them.

Excellent advice!!! Good to see our Free-DC bretheran posting around XS  :welcome:
AFI... I suspect that your install is corrupt. Uninstall and reinstall rosetta. Merge the computers in your profile if you see a new one pop up.

Now that I think about it... I bet this can be fixed my running a chkdsk on your C drive...
Go to start > run > type "cmd"
In the command prompt enter the following command "chkdsk C: /f"
It will say that the drive cannot be locked for exclusive access and ask if you want to schedule a check disk at next reboot. Say yes.
Reboot and let the chkdsk run. See if it finds any errors. Sometimes chkdsk won't run for some reason... just do the command again and reboot and it will usually start.
Try running BOINC after that.

Set your days to like 3-5 to get through when they are 'down' (usually back up in an hour or 2. Happened to me last nite (trying to report). Came back up 1 hr later.

This seems to be a totally different issue. See AFI's screen shot.

if you have the NF4 chipset and use activearmor (the hardware firewall) uninstall it, i was having all sorts of file verification issues untill i did that, seems something is wrong with that feature of NF4. try uploading and downloading the same file with a known MD5 and see if its your network, and not boinc specific
