I haven't really been keeping up with vidcards lately, and someone wants to buy my GF3 Ti500, so I'm looking to get a new card.

I'm looking at either the Radeon 9500 or the 9500 Pro. From what I gather the main difference is that that 9500 Pro has 8 pixel pipelines rather than 4?

And I thought I read something about a mod to enable the other pipelines?

Last question, is it worth it to get a "Built by ATi" card, or should I go with the Sapphire cards? I can get them relatively cheaply at a local store. Thanks guys, looking forward to your answers.

I go for the 9500Pro as it has the higher nuimber of pixel shaders.
Unless you fell like doing the resistor mod on the regular 9500??

I'd go for the Saphire cards as they seem to perform aswell if not better than the Built by ATI cards.

There is a software mod (driver hack) to enable the extra pipelines on the 9500 non pro. It's a real bugger to get working sometimes, especially if you flash the BIOS so that you can overclock.
