For those whom are curious Ive had a beta-level set of this RAM for about a month now. Overall its what I consider a Micron replacement with much longer term availibilty.

Overall the RAM take a page from TCCD. Roughly you are looking at 730-780 with applied voltage with the timings of 3-3-3 / 4-3-3. With 4-4-4 you are looking at the 800-900mhz range.

What I find unusual about this ram is that its limiting factor is the tRAS and not the other timings. For optimal operation set Tras over 15 as I currentally test here:

Corsair UL ships at PC2-5400 3-2-2-8.

This looks like it scales very very well though, and we wont have to worry about availability.

Looks good!

I'm lost when it comes to DDR2 ! :D

With AMD going to DDR2 I'd better get with the game plan though ! so this is going to be the replacement for fat bodies ?

Ya its not nearly to the level of D9 I'm afraid, but its getting close to the levels that D9 once had. Also for the record that screenshot was at 2v in BIOS. 1.9v is passable in memtest but not in 3D

so this is going to be the replacement for fat bodies ?
That's correct. What we are using on this part is the closest thing to it in terms of clocks. (goes to get a 3-3-3 shot)

This is at 2.3v and roughly max speed on the 1GB kits. 2GB packs clock slightly lower than the 1gb packs (as expected)

Unfortunatly there is no chance of them doing any lower than 3 on any timing. If it did we would have released them with those timings :(.

D9's been out of production for quite some time now, only other decent chips available at the moment are these.
