Hey guys,
I've been searching the bonic stats to see if I could find a computers benchmark with 2x246's. I'm looking at getting some and was wondering if it was worth it.

Figured I mise well use it as my workstaiton as I hate cluttering the harddrives in my gaming rig.

So does anyone know what kinda R@H performance these will do? Or am I going to have to buy them and find out? (I guess i could put R@H on my game server. 2x240's)

System should be something like:
2 AMD Opteron 246's (or maybe 240's just depends)
MSI K8T Master2-FAR
1gb DDR400 (or more)

can't see it going wrong tbh

the out put of these would be killer...

ok...so there are more expensive better ones like dual dualcore opterons...but that's just silly :P

Will the setup be able to OC?

Not very many Dual Opty boards o/c for crap.... only one seems to be the K8N-DL from Asus.

Rod,
Yep the MSI K8T Master2-FAR will overclock. How far idk, i'm hoping to get a good 2-400mhz more out of them. Then again I need to find some decent Reg Ecc memory.

Wes,

Start scouring forums and ebay for some Corsair CMX512RE-3200LL's, Mushkin PC3200 ECC Registered Memory 991125's or Kingston HyperX PC3200 ECC sticks. Those would probably be your best bets ;)
