Today I visited a c.shop in Maribor and noticed that they offer very cheap 1GB PC3200 CAS3 CEON sticks (~100$ per stick)...but I don't know which chips are used on the memory.

PCB is BrainPower and the chips are (re)labeled CEON ...they have 4 tiny dots on the sides (didn't take pics with the phone:slapass: :slapass: :slapass: ).

Is it possible these sticks have maybe Samsung UCCC chips or some of the better stuff (Infineon), because if they do they are quite a bargain.....to bad that I didin't see this before I ordered TeamGroup TCCD DDR600 memory....at least to test them over the weekend:stick: :stick:

Can somebody with UCCC or Infineon or similar post pictures of the memory but from the top...as to see the dot pattern.

Samsung in general:

notice how close to each other are the dots that make one pair.

Infineon in general:

notice the big circle dot on top of IC which is not quite seated in the corner, but rather shifted to one side.

Thanx high5:D

Hmm, it could be either of them...what about CEON native chips (do they manufacture their own chips?). I was in a hurry to get to work on time and did't look very good at the chips:slapass:. ....it may be UCCC

I sent an e-mail to the shop if they can send me some pictures...or I will pay them a visit again and get the pictures myself.

Damn, I wish I saw this memory before buying TG TCCD, since it is dirt cheap...if it is UCCC or Infineon.
