View Full Version : Stats that we really need for Rosetta!!!

I would really like to have a stats page that shows me detailed stats about each PC. Like Point total, Today, last update blah blah blah.
This wat we can gauge the performance of our PCs and also keep an eye on them. If there is a problem I would be able to catch it in the stats.
What do you all think and what might you want to see?? Maybe we can point Bok over here so he might be able to add them to the Free-DC stats!

Points per day, per pc would be very useful.
With the buffering options that are available and the fact that returned work is not always listed in sequence it's not easy/quick to be able to identify problems by going through the lists of results so perhaps some kind of total for failures per day, per pc also?

Good point! Any easy way to see which PC is kicking out errors... but I'm not sure that would be considered stats... Hmmmm...

Well, this might be out of left field, but would there be anyway to incorporate an email alert to a system that's erroring?
Other than that, I like what's been named for stats ideas....maybe also a way to alias PCs so that we can see who's doing what within a team.

Either of these two what you had in mind?

i think those are the kind of stats we are looking for, now if there was a place that showed errors per computer per day and total.
although my daily output per computer is low, i guess i need more days so it will even its self out and become more accurate.
I had 3 days with really low output....................

KaptainBlaZzed, thanks you are really helpful. I forgot to mention that I am a member of THE_Machine and I have 6 rigs running. I am currently using an excel spreadsheet, I know old school. If there is an easier way, that would be great...

These aren't accumulating yet in the live database but I thought you'd like to see where I was headed...
http://devel.open-dc.org/new/userstats.php?proj=rah&name=46987&teamC=Y&teamR=&allC=&allR=
Should probably be ordered by score, but I'll need a costly seperate index for that..
Anything else ?

Looks pretty nice. The ability to sort by daily average, rac, or score would be nice, if it doesn't take too much resources that is. One flaw with boinc's tracking of hosts is it doesn't record the current processor frequency, it only records the model :( . Btw, what are the specs for the machine that runs the stats site anyways?
But, good job and thanks for running your stats site for all to view

The current machine is a P4 3.2, 1Gb Ram. It's a hosted machine in a dedicated secure datacenter. i.e. it's not my machine, otherwise I'd use my dual xeon 3.6 with 2Gb Ram
It does have a nice uptime though....
[root@server root]# uptime
19:57:48 up 438 days, 21:16, 3 users, load average: 2.47, 2.25, 1.84
[root@server root]#
:D
But I have been running the stats on my DX and working out ways to automatically send the data back to the Free-DC server...

Mine: p4 2.6C @3.4 ghz
AMD 3500+ @2.5ghz
AMD 3200+ stock
Intel Pentium D 2.8ghz stock
AMD FX55 stock
Athlon XP 2700+ stock (utter banana:P)
Soon to add! AMD 3200+ OC to haven't decided yet.
Remember these are all normal PC's of the normal people of the world who arn't as hardcore as you lot.....and all between the age of 16-18 :P
