looking to purchace Opteron, need assistance with steppings!

Hey guys,
sold off my cpu yesturday, got a DFI Lanparty SLI-D on its way and am looking for a decent stepping optie...

Looking on ebay they have one with a few hours remaining and some with a "buy now" function.

Below is a list of the steppings of chips I am looking to possibly buy, please can you tell me what will be the best clocker out of them and or what will be best value for money?

instead of having 1 or 2 people respond with their results why dont you just type the steppings into the search window and hit submit,,, im sure you could pull up other peoples results,,,,

Out of the ones you've listed I'd put my money on the CABYE being the best. I have that stepping myself and it's an excellent chip. Other people's results with it seem to suppor this. :)

yep, of that 3 stepings the CABYE 0543 FPMW its the best , same as i have.

My 148 CACJE 0546 does 3000@ 1.45v 273x11 and 3150@ 1.6v 315X10
Its the best one I've had yet.
It beats out my 146 CABYE 0540 and 148 CABYE 0543 and my 146 CABYE 0538

Just a few snaps of mine. I don't have any other shots although the system was 100% game stable @ 3.1. I was testing some BH-5 I got this last weekend. I just keep it at 3Ghz for everyday use. My 148 CABYE 0543 couldn't do anything above 3050 stable on this same board. It would SS higher of course ;)

maybe you had bad luck with cabye 0543 , mine can get stable 3ghz@1.4v/3100@1.47v/3150@1.52v and SS run 3212@1.60v (not stable) and all others CABYE 0543 FPMW that i´ve seen are good .

I had chance to choose from opty 146 CABYE 0543 FPMW and 0540 FPBW. I took a FPBW steping - still wating for it, should arrive tomorrow. Did i made right decision? I can still bought a 0543 FPMW, if the FPBW will not perform as it should.

Btw, wich steping is the king for 146 opty? As i was reading thru lot of forums i found this;
