I looked at the boinc monitor and I have a wu that is taking forever, I am now processing the wu for almost 4 hours (that could be normal) but the time before completing gets larger everytime. These Wu's also have a strange name.
Should I cancel them or let them run?

The time before completion getting bigger doesn't really mean much, since it's tracking change in the percentage completed.
But anyways, things look like that work packet is going to hit the max cpu time before it gets anywhere. I'd say let it run for a little while longer, an hour or so, and see if it makes it to 10%. If it's still stuck, you should probably report it in the thread here (http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/forum_thread.php?id=680) and quite possibly abort.

Now I already did 5 hours and its more than 8 hours and increasing before completion. And it's still stuck at 1%. I'm going to abort.

But I saw it after the fact (Error - exceeded allowable time  ) So you are NOT alone :toast:

This is a bug in the Rosetta project. This can be avoided by logging into R@H and setting your clients to "Leave applications in memory while preempted?". This will stop this from happening.

Yes, I'm all setup :)
As long as I don't get this everyday it's fine.

They're always trying new methods with the work units, so as a result we're testing those methods out for them. The only thing you can really do is report them, abort, and move on. But at least it shows that they're continually working on the project and supporting it.

That is a very good point.
R@H staff has a history of granting credits for task that get stuck like this. Report it and see what happened.
