so i may have a lower bandwidth but the access time should still be faster, right?

good point. so what is the latency of ~250mhz 2-2-2-5 like on the 975X chipset?

So it's a RAM speed record or an intel record or an fsb record? I'm not sure what the category would be, because:
400htt numero uno (http://forum.tweak.pl/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=1981)
and
400fsb numero dos (http://img55.imageshack.us/my.php?image=htt4004lw.jpg)
were both by sept 22, 2005. Not trying to knock the wind out of anyone's sails.

2-2-2-5 rocks at 27x-300mhz :S - 2x 512MB ofcause.. (eventhough its 8GB/s, it still owns :))

I aint a native in the Intel platform :stick: , but all I can see the new 975 chipset performing veeery well :fact:
and those ddr2 Corsairs rock on Intel too!
would like some benchies (personally I would really like if you could do a run of pcmark 2002 , yes the old one, cut its pretty on timings  )

Mr Tinker I am 1:1. The links you provided I am sure are at some other memory ratio where the memory is 300Mhz or less.
450FSB is the current WR for Intel

Disagree :)
cant remember weather its 32 og 36ns I get on my 24/7 settings :S
But my BW is more like 7700MB/s for 24/7 @ SiS, which aint that much.
PM me if you want more info, cause this aint about that, Fugger got a nice result, A64 (DDR1) vs. Intel (DDR2) aint what this thread is about :) *and I dont fancy making FUGGER an enemy :nono: *

Tonight I will run some 3D but I wont be able to run 16x, more like 14x on vapo.
I am still finding the top end of this board and I need the NB voltage mod. My board is a bit weak at 1.59v and I need more like 1.7v
I tried memtest 86+ and it does not show speed or timing and a bit bugged on reporting bandwidth too.

The 955X board was a better overclocker with the volt mods, next break down I will mod this mobo.
I was playing with clocks last night and with stock mobo it doesnt want to boot past 5.3Ghz into windows.
I am picking up a Gigabyte G1 board to test as well.

Just in the middle of some quick LN2 670 runs on the Gigabyte - board is messy for low lat mem timings - Asus will be the much better option for xtreme stuff it appears on first glance.

isnt it a bit inaccurate comparing ddr2 versus ddr because intel runs it at 2T ? Or is this false information?

Hi!
Do you think the P5WD2-E, 955XE, Corsair8000UL and Vapo LS is now a bad combi??
Because i´m reading there is maybe a sub-zero problem, or everything is ok??
Best regards and congrats for your work

Serious ?
Fugger why it`s only 5000 MB/s ? IMO pretty low, ain`t it ?
And does Intel benefit from low latency ? Or it`s better to loosen it for more speed ?
Anyway Fugger congrats on achievin so nice clocks with so low latency
Keep it coming :)
