I am only excited about it to see what the people who can afford those things will do with it. Hell, I am still trying to decide if a FX-53 is to expensive. :slapass:

I'm sure these are going to be amazing clockers, especially for dual core. Im excited although there is no way I'll have enough money for one, just to know that amd is still on the top :) I hope these aren't as cold bugged as some of the x2's......As long as we can freeze em we should see some amazing numbers....

i think i remember someone showing one here that did 3ghz @ 1.35v, thats core 0 and core 1, completely stable...correct me if im wrong on that

that's the factor holding me back as not all FX-60 will do 3ghz some from reports only do 2.8ghz and under

FX-60 here in OZ = AUD$1699
Opteron 180 = AUD$1250
Opteron 175 = AUD$835
Opteron 170 = AUD$625
X2 4400+ = AUD$800

I'd hate to fork out AUD$1,699 bucks to get max 2.8ghz or have one poorer oc'ing core when both my Opteron 170s 0544XPMW and 0546XPMW do 2750-2800mhz and 2850-2950mhz respectively and still both cpus cost 25% less in total than a single FX-60

IMO, you will be lucky to see a FX Dual core do 3Ghz air... but like i said.. IMO
