Ok well bit ago my OC tool (driverheaven) stopped affecting my card (might be 5.13?!) so I could literally set the numbers to whatever I wanted and it just would affect a thing, I even reextracted it many times.

Also I flashed the PE BIOS and have been getting GREAT results  , with the old BIOS the highest I hit was 729 on the core, while with the new BIOS I have hit 760 :D (stock volts! +BIOS did not up volts) but I havent been able to go over 800 on the ram because thats all you can do in CCC

Ive tried the New ATI tool and its still crap for me, any other tools? Any ideas on how to get OC working?

Also I no some people OC 2D clocks and was wonder whats the point of it? Can it help 3D clocks?

Has anyone else hit 760 at stock volts? I believe I saw some at 750, but none as high as me stock :D

were you refering to the 'secret' ATI OC tool that was created by ATI themselves?

Im refering to whatever one you can download at driverheaven, the one that most X1800 users are using. So yes its probaly the one your thinking of.

I am running 5.13.

Best way to use "Uber Secret" Ati clocker. set to 3d clocks, TYPE in the core and mem speed, apply. Use Rivatuner to make sure when you enter a 3d application clocks go up...

I solved the problem by Downloading a new Tool and if it did up the voltage in 3d mode it isnt showing it in ATI tool, or the secret ATI tool.

I can use OC-tool (stock bios/cat5.13/ Ati services disabled) but only up to 770 max on core. Whenever i try to go over 770 it wil be set back to 770 in OC-tool. Mem works fine though.

Im now using Atitool beta 11 to OC both core and mem and it works fine.

to set them you have to type in 1mhz above what you need i.e. for

756 type 757
762 type 762 <-- same
769 type 770
776 type 777
783 type 783 <-- same

I think he is talking about PE Bios and "overclocker"-tool, so nothing new here. especially because PE Bios is upping vgpu to 1,48v u get higher overclocks.

What appears to be the problem with ATITool? Have you tried Beta 11?

Also I no some people OC 2D clocks and was wonder whats the point of it? Can it help 3D clocks?
If you use ATI Tool Beta 11 you only need to adjust 2D clocks (as the card doesn't switch to 3D mode after ATITool shuts down ati2evxx.exe services). The clocks you set with ATITool will also be used for 3D operation. Remember to set fan speeds and volts to correct values too.

if it did up the voltage in 3d mode it isnt showing it in ATI tool
Thats because ATITool only reads the 2D voltage.
