1.9v on the core of the 7800gtx and on air? details please, cuz thats insanely high, even for water/phase. if you did do it tho, that would be pretty crazy, and your scoring higher than my friends gtx512 lol

I did do it lol... i did even bench my BH5 on 4volts rofl.
Maybe next time ill do it 2v on GPU and 2v on memory. For classic :P
Maybe ill take a camera next time... i hope to get dryice on friday for the cpu. It really dosent matter if GPU is water, air or LN2... the difference is little.
edit: Heres my rig on a competition in summer. I won the 3DMarks :P

im not saying impossible, just improbable, that things gotta be hittin like 100c, do you have a zalman/silencer on it? or are you talking bone stock cooling. i also have done some stupidly high volts on air, or even w/out cooling (3.6 on BH5, NO active cooling, NO fans blowing on it) for a bench @ 274 2-2-2-7-1t (2x512)

I bench in style

This is how i bench.. on friday there should be -10c outside... so no waterfreezing then because i have dryice by then i think.
And lol they aint 100c... CPU like was 6c when i got that score that i posted here and mobo 0c and nb 10c but there was +5c outside

wow thats crazy man, you got some awesome clocks on that 7800gtx 256, i mean REALLY awesome. btw, @ 1.7v's, (the 7800gtx 512's default) at like normal air temperature, what clocks would you get? fairly close to the 550-580 (depending on manufacturer) core? or would it be a little less? im just curious for that part.

Hehe never tried on 1.7v-s
Hmm maybe ill check it out tomorrow. But umm with 1.6v it did 600core stable.
24\7 is 1.55v on GPU and 2.3v on MEM 500\1400

I think I have all sorted out how far will I go and when to stop.
Havent actually benched with dryice before so any tips are good. I have stuff that blocks air so i should not get any condencation.

Those are some sweet clocks on air. I wish I had the guts to feed my video cards that many volts. Actually, I wish I had the $$ to do so.

what kinda volts is goin through the corsair to attain that speed
PlatoonSgtElias
01-03-2006, 10:38 PM
I use 3.6v to get those speeds.

How did u manage to get 1.9V on the core? I thought the GTX's OVP kicks in at 1.85Volts?
PlatoonSgtElias
01-04-2006, 02:34 AM
It dosent. I dont have OVP on
madgravity34

How do you get rid of the OVP? I thought it was a feature built into the 7800gtx?
