Hello everyone, this is my first post ever on Xtreme Systems, and I am proud to be a member of the community. I stumbled across this site a few nights ago after searching the web for some overclocking websites. I am the proud owner of a brand spanking new [Sapphire] Radeon X1800XT 512MB. I have been tinkering with computers since I was 12 years old, and getting the most bang for my buck has always been essential. It's true what they say, overclocking is a way of life. :P

My system specs are as follows;

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice E6 CPU 1.8GHz (9x200) @ 2.7GHz (9x300) 1.7v
1024MB (2x512MB) OCZ Premier 2.5-3-3-7 Dual Channel PC3200 RAM w/ Heat Spreader
ATi Radeon X1800XT 512MB 625/1500 @ 750/1800 (Core/Mem) 1.48v
80GB Barracuda 7200.8 SATA 7200RPM 8MB Cache
200GB Barracuda 7200.8 SATA 7200RPM 8MB Cache
MSI K8N NEO4-F Mainboard
Enermax 535W PSU

I have been reading some of the threads around here trying to get an idea how I might be able to increase my 3dmark05 score... I see some people getting 12,000-13,000 but then again, they have liquid nitrogen cooling and all sorts of crazy 4GHz+ cpus... Maybe there is nothing I can do?

Anyways, any tips would be appreciated. Here is a screenshot

welcome to Xtremesystems :toast:
there is a new xt bios wich supposedly helps to oc the card further, did you try that? dont know if its available for 512mb cards as well, but i suppose so.
its the sapphire 1800xt "pe" bios, the card thats clocked higher than normal 1800xt cards.

your cpu looks pretty maxed out... too bad...
the card clocks you got there are really nice! :toast:
thats a good card i think.

i dont know how well watercooling helps to clock those cards even higher, i think george (eva2000) just mde a thread about it, check whether it helped him to get a decent boost and if its worth it to go for better cooling.
and those cards are really power hungry, what psu do you have?
but with those clocks i dont think you got a bad psu limiting you :D

I posted my powersupply is a 535 watt by enermax, you might have missed because I put it at the bottom. And I have thought about watercooling, I might buy a new case and watercooling on payday (Jan. 15) I will go look for the thread by george.
