Sigs

I know you guys like your sigs. I don't think I'll be creating them for BOINC because there are a number of other choices.

http://www.boinc.dk/index.php?page=signatures (no extra account needed) - just click on the image you like, then use your Rosetta account number

However I have another alternative for you. Instead of having individual sigs for each project, I suggest using Bok's sigs available at Free-DC. A few XS members already use them (Jeff, Rodzilla, etc) and they look like this:

I've already put in a request for Bok to add your folding@home team and the Rosetta/DIMES/D2OL stats are already availabe for use. You will need a Free-DC forum account though. Then go to http://www.free-dc.org/statstool.php and add your info. Your D2OL and DIMES name is just whatever screenname you used for the project (and identical to the ones you used for the D2OL/DIMES sigs). The folding at home is just your F@H username directly followed by xtremesystems.org (so an example would be "PS2pcGAMERxtremesystems.org"). All BOINC projects (including Rosetta) is just your project ID number which can be found by going to this (http://stats.free-dc.org/new/teamstats.php?proj=rah&team=XtremeSystems) page and then going to your specific stats page. Then look at the address bar where it says name=XXXX and use that. So if you look at Windforce's (http://stats.free-dc.org/new/userstats.php?proj=rah&name=12944) stats page, it says name=12944 and so you'd put 12944 into the box on the statstool page. Also, to add your DF stats, follow the same method as you do for the Rosetta stats.

If you have participated in another project (and even another team), the process is the same. So if you did Find-A-Drug and want your stats listed, you can do that.

Bok mentioned awhile back that he hopes to eventually incorporate background images in the sigs, so for those who like their backgrounds, there is hope.

However, if there is a strong push for me to recreate the DIMES/D2OL sigs, I will see what I can do. Also, if you really want me to do ones for rosetta, I can make that happen, but I don't really see a reason to.

Sorry, I have never used either of those BOINC sig services, so I am not of much help. However, I noticed some errors on the .dk webpage, so I'd try using the BoincSynergy page instead.

Is there a way to resend an activation e-mail? I'd go ahead and try that if you can. If it doesn't work, drop Bok a PM (he has an account on XS) and I'm sure he'll take care of you.

Yeah, you must have a Free-DC forum account. Then go to the Free-DC forums, http://www.free-dc.org/forum/, and log in. Then go to the statstool that I linked to above and it should work fine.

Did that already... but even when I'm logged in@FDC forum the link keeps telling me I need to log in first (tried clearing cookies etc... doesn't work):rolleyes:

I had the same, just log out and log in again @ fdc forum. Worked for me.
But can't seem to get my F@H points in my sig (team was XTREME).

I just put the request up (for both Xtreme F@H teams) a few hours ago, so Bok probably hasn't even seen it yet. I am guessing it will be up in a day or two.

I just tried adding your account to my sig as a test and it worked.

All you need to enter for the Rosetta stats is that number. No spaces or anything.

I am confused also. Which signature image service are we talking about?

The only signature I see from you is a link to the Rosetta team page. I don't see any images in your signature (like STEvil, Mr Slinky, etc).

I like the Free-DC stats sig! Very clean and you can have more than one project listed!
