There is plenty left here and there especially on card core clocks, just need to make it all work together. Had one session this morning SLI that didnt go to well --mad condensation, nothing working right away, and once everything started to gel, I had to shut down for safety due to the cond. everywhere. You really have to work your way up in clocks with these cold bug FX's.. tough to get it all together first run from boot. At least with this chip thats the deal. Still gunning....

thanx. Barely any artifacts at those speeds. 2200mhz? Now that would be beyond sick lol. The screenshot was taken with the clocks set :)...tiny bit of snow during run on gt2 and trolls lair, but thats it. 2200 could happen with my solid gpu units.

No memsinks..just a few 80mm fans blowing on the cards. -55c or so and around 1.76v core and a little over default voltage on the memory.
Solid containers will cool the whole card better. I should be benching with this week. We designed a pretty cool mounting system that uses pcb board material (very strong when thicker) for the "slide down" which will be able to be changed for diff vid cards for mounting. Can't really speculate to much on performance till I test them. I'll post pics and results in ln2 forum. THey will for sure be a million times better than this weak one I made. These cards are similar, but diff in some ways. One can get into windows at -100, but can't bench below -83c or so. The other can bench at -100, but can't get into windows above -72c...lol wtf is that. The card on the small brazed up container is holding back the core clocks to around 770 so far. Havent tried to hard to go much farther, but the more volts/clocks the more the temp swings like mad. Both card are running the exact same bios.

Not even G...I bet he is running the same lod as me lol. My card was clocked at 818/2100+ for that run man. Thats not all lod power, thats gpu power too.
His card is only clocked at 740/2000...big difference.
Not to take anything away from his great score, but my CL crushes his by 80fps and my LL has him by 20fps. You can blame the p4gd1 for the crap systems scores. Look at the compare of 01 scores:

I have a good set of lod values for each test in 01' that I run. I am sure overklokk does too. Most tests use diff values for best points....thats where a little leg work pays off. On a scale of 1-15, what values do you think score the most points in the test where it makes the biggest difference? Ill give a hint-- it's <4.0

BTW is that Cornell in your avatar?

@Hipro-- I was running 271 or 272x14 I think in that 50.9k 01' score. Can't remeber exact fsb, but for sure it was 14x. 275x14 will score closer to 52k single card for 3dmark 2001 ;)

I thought last year was a golden age at one point but people are still really pushing it as we enter 2006 and it sounds like Charles will be possibly joining in as well. It's a bit like rock climbing where new incredible formerly "impossible" routes are being put up by the new generation year on year. It's great to watch by we armchair benchers :cool:

Vince is spot on about LOD, it's not just flicking a switch, it takes a lot of boring runs to work out what is best and it varies by card. If you have a card which is memory bandwidth limited then you know that certain tests show this up more and need a bigger LOD, however if you are gpu limited you cannot go too much LOD or it gets worse or at least plateau's out. Even that rule does not follow between 2001, 03 and 05 though.

The one good thing about LOD runs is that although they are boring they properly burn your card in before it gets cooled and volt modded.

Good luck to all competitors, 2006 is around the corner soon, so maybe we might find 2001 leaving us ..no pressure though :D ! heh heh.

When are they going to remove that cheating ass'ole at the top of 2005, it's spoiling the front page ? :rolleyes: Does nobody at futuremark look at the ORB nowadays ?

I've got a retail box 4800+ coming my way. Apparently it will work under DI so we'll see how it goes when it comes to higher HTT and mem controller issues. I've been trying to figure out what to do about the locked multi as well, I'm so used to benching 1:1 with BH-5 and the FX that I never really think about dividers. I was thinking of trying some TCCD or 2gb ballistix that can run 300 @ 3-3-3-8... just to stay 1:1 :) otherwise use the 166 divider with BH-5 if the controller is good. It'll go under DI this weekend. :)

If it is as 0536 i would certanly give it a chance. My friend has one that overclocks almost the same as the dc chip I got here. Singelphase or even DI should work fine with that. Or you just pour what temp you ever desire, hehe :) 3250MHz on air in spi 1M aint to bad. Beacuse of the heat generated it wont take 3d05 higher then 3150MHz, crashes in Game test 1. I managed to run through gt1 and 2 @ 3170MHz with lower vcore but then it would crash in to windows in gt3. With watercooling I think 3250 or even higher would work for 3D also. Since 3100MHz DC equals 3600MHz SC in game test 2 that would be some seriuos cpu power on only water.

I say go for it :D

You should of checked out some of the dual core opteron's.
Most 170 & 175 CD dual core opte's are either CABNE or CCBWE, both work well with phase. Not sure about LN2 though. :cool:

The 170CD CCBWE 0543 TPMW is an killer overclocker,
I am sure it can do 3.450+ in the right hands. :)

Got some work in with the x2.
Almost got single card WR again with a little over 3200mhz :)
The chip loves single stage temps....but any more and it bugs a little. Havent figured out a way around it, but Im tryin.

So close to shams single card wr....sham you are inhuman with those cards. This is close to the limit for my best clocking card on chily's container. Couldnt seem to get over 800 core stable today:

and here is SLI mark05' score. The cpu power wasn't there at (3300mhz/183div/mem speed only at 236) like I'd hope it would be, but still 18k+ and killer score for 3300mhz cpu, weak mem speed, and decent clocks on the card. Dual core is here :)

That score would be around 18,250 with the card clocks I ran in the wr run. You can see the kind of damage these chips could do at 3500-3600mhz.

It seems that for SLI there is roughly 450mhz performance difference between fx57 and x2. 3.5dual core should equal 3.9+fx with simlar tuning.

It seems that for SLI there is roughly 450mhz performance difference between fx57 and x2. 3.5dual core should equal 3.9+fx with simlar tuning.

I would be thrilled to hit 3.5ghz but I think probably 3.3-3.4 is more probable. I've got my trusty bh-5 that I will have to run with the divider unfortunately, and also a set of 2gb Ballistix that can do 300 3-3-3-8 that I'm curious to try out. :)

I'm totally cranking the volts on it :). I am probably a little higher here then necessary for these clocks, but it seems to need most of it. It scaled well up to 1.67v or so, then for the last little bit it needed 1.75v+ for 3d. The chip can take the volts easily and is very stable at those speeds/volts/temps.

For sure in single card the performance gap is much smaller than in dual card. Though I suspect that running 270 1:1 in SLI would have given me a bit more in gt1 and gt2.

That cpu was capable of MUCH MUCH higher that 3.4 benchable. Here's a taste of what it could do on a STOCK MACH2 before I sent it to OPB:

You need a 3400mhz 2meg cache chip that can run 8m/8m two pi's at once and then you have a good chip worth telling mom and dad about ;)
Hehehe...you really think it makes that much of a difference? Here's a comparison I did of one of my 4600+'s running PCMark04 vs. Sampsa's 4800+.
My scores are on the top. Discount the video scores since I was running a 6600GT 128mb and Sampsa was using an x850xtpe 256mb. My 4600+ was clocked @ 3190Mhz vs. Sampsa's 3232Mhz. (Also, the fix for the grammer check bug wasn't known at the time - the only person that had passed the complete test was Sampsa)

Ok, I missed that.

But anyways, PCmark2004 top score by OPB was running at 3.4
That lead me to beleive that it wasn't stable at faster speeds...

Who knows, maybe he didn't want to try it, but I don't see the reason.

Shamino is a master and he definitely didn't get owned by any means. If anything he owned me on the card clocks..though I've yet to unleash my cards full potential together ;)

@ shamino thanx man :P. It was alot of work to get that score, not too easy. They should go up some. The cpu really is incredible with the right touch.
And I always wanted to thank you for the vmods for the gtx512's, but havent done it yet. :toast: you saved me and alot of other people from stress and heartache of figuring out the vmods and risking our hardware to damage.

Damn.....This mobo(P4GD1) sucks as for 3D.....I only got 49000+ at 3757MHz with my DOTHAN and VGA on air @ 708MHz and 2059MHz......Sucks big time.....:mad:
Also Ricky tweak doesn't work here.....:(

LOL...I have been waiting for you to say this for some time now Hipro. The system power isn't there like it is on the p4c is it now? ;). You need MASSIVE clocks on your card and have to be running 14x with high bus speed @ 3.8ghz+ to pull a heavy score....freeze that card man. You would be surprised what a 110more mhz on your core and 100mhz on your mem will give you in increases...especially in nature and drag.

k|ngp|n - got a pic of your mobo insulation? The reason I ask is because I'm having a *slight* prob keeping condensation off my mobo. I've already lost a channel on my Expert and don't really want to risk another mobo:

Conformal can't cover EVERYTHING on a pcb. There's spaces underneath caps an IC's that are almost impossible to reach, even for the coating......

Thats what nail polish is for ;) All the caps and fets around my DFI's CPU socket are 110% sealed off.

Did you insulate your mobo with plastic spray too?.....Gee too much snow you've got there!.....I insulated my mobo and the adaptor (for dothan) ALL DAY long yesterday so as to put it under cascade......Working with the cascade @ -105*C for MANY hours, I don't see a thing of that "snow".....Is it that big difference from -105* to - 160*C as for the condancation ?......

It's 1500+ marks lower than the P4C800 Vince.......TOO much difference.......:(

Well you will be facing more cold, i wont say you get more condensation, but its harder to work longer WITHOUT condensation.

I just want to clarify here - I'm in no way a noob to insulation and cooling....it's just that this autocascade is a BEAST of a totally different kind. Talking to Chilly1, his only suggestion is that I add mobo HEATERS to defeat the condensation......:rolleyes:

Most mobos stop functioning properly when the caps start freezing up around the socket area. I learned this along time ago. My rigs never get like in your pic, not even after 2 straight hours running ln2. The key is to tightly seal off the socket area confiing the cold to just that area.

I "hope" to have them finished tonight :) I will push the cards as hard as they can go on them I promise. The cpu is strong in 03'. I completed a run yesterday at 3950mhz with the cards slightly clocked in SLI.
Without massive card clocks however, I won't be able to take sham in 03' so it all rides on how the cards do with the solids. One card is golden on chilly's and the other I havent pushed as hard so jury is still out on where it ends up.
