First off, we're number 1. Yay! :woot:

next. I have just found out that I will have a new p4 3.6 lappy in work, but no internet access. Seems a shame to waste that power. Battery life aint a problem, as it never moves. and Yes, I have permission, I'm the manager, I gave myself permission.

anyone fancy pointing me in the right direction on how to get this one crunching? I have a pendrive ready n waiting.

I think I know how it works, but I am not 100% sure.
First, install D2OL on a PC with internet access. Then dload 2000 tasks.
Copy the node.prp to a usb drive or cdrom.
Then install d2ol on the lappy. Copy the node.prp to the d2ol folder on the lappy. Let it crunch ;) After 2000cands are done, copy the resultQueue.dat to a usb drive/stick/whatever. Then copy it to the pc with internet access, upload the tasks, dload new task and copy the node.prp again, etc

Or take the lappy home and set it all up :P

Edit: The files are in the D2OL/res folder

Insancen, I know MikeE knows how to do this operation. Fr3ak is close but doesn't have the file names correct. The node.prp is only one of the things to be copied, but I am not usre an the others.

If they don't mind you taking it home now and then... just load DÂČOL on it and put it on the net @ home once a week... should do the trick.
