Been fiddlin with my x1800xt, trying to reach 12k in 3dmark05. Finding it very dificult to do without going for extreme cooling solutions.

Here is my best so far:

What tweaks do you all use to max your 05 scores???

wow even higher... i'm not gonna catch ya on air LOL

what gpu/mem volt is that at ?

what windows theme is that nice and transparent!

Plywood99
12-31-2005, 07:29 PM
Gpu 1.48, mem 2.097

WindowBlinds5 theme is Dreamland.

Man I want 12k so bad I can taste it. But getting hard to mush any more out of this card, not that I'm complaining mind you...

SIOUX is on water for his X1800XT and he said undervolting his mem volts helped clock his mem higher

I seen a few folks with X1800XT stock air doing 950mhz on mem - wish mine could do that heh

Plywood99

Hmm, haven't tried undervolting. Lol...

Doesnt all of that skinning stuff take up some resources? I say turn all of that off, kick explorer off, set 3d05 to realtime, run 3d05 then come back with your score.

Eva2000 you have the better core, mine is crapping out at 765. Benches run at 760,980.

I think it time to turn up the heat on my opteron 165...

MPS Uni tweak on win2k SP4. The MPS win2k was not good with with the X850 series, but kick ass with these x1800XT cards for some reason.

http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/172

I know that only beta 11 work well on x1800..all tell me that all version of atitool except beta 11 don't work well on ati x1800 series..have you got any problem with beta 10?

atitool 0.25 beta 11, will also disable 2D/3D switch on X1800XT, so, if you got OC bios (who lifts voltage up to 1.4x when card are in 3d mode), the increase of the voltage doesn't happen, and so you must plan voltage with atitool or with overclocker..

Plywood99

Thanks Scampi. I was already using profiles in AtiTool to keep from running volts full tilt all the time. But it is buggy. Hopefully beta 11 addresses some of them...
