I've been looking everywhere on different forums...seems that most X1800XLs are OCing quite well. However, some fail to do so.:censored:

I have a BBATI card on water with ram sinks (using ATI Tool beta 11):

Core = 621Mhz
Mem = 666Mhz
vCore = 1.150v (1.175 locks up randomly without artifacts, higher results in immediate lockup)
vMem = 2.1v
vMemIO = 2.0v

I am speculating that there may be something in the ATI BIOS that says anything over 10% higher on vCore (1.175v would be ~12% increase...but it's possible that the voltage fluctuates at just under that and eventually causes a lockup)...halt all video operations, but I cannot confirm this as of yet. I have reports of 2 other BBATI cards doing the same.

Can I have everyone input their OC results maximum stable (not just bench stable), the maker of the card, and the cooling setup. This is for X1800XL only. I have not heard of anything funky with the XT cards unless they arrive with bad memory.

I will be creating an excel spread sheet with the results and hopefully come to a conclusion to help my self and others with difficulty OCing these cards.

Thanks everyone!:D

when i get my Zalman fan I'll take a pic of the core, maybe certain cores are having the problem.

Same problem, anything over 1,725V suxx
Sapphire X1800XL watercooled + RAM HSs
Max stable 625 on core ...
PLs post another BIOS if you obtain one ...

oh...I guess I forgot to mention it in this thread...

I looked at my BBATI BIOS, Sapphire BIOS from Techpowerup, and Sapphire BIOS from someone on these forums....they are the exact same thing in a Hex editor. Which rules out the theory I posted above.

So most likely, anyone who can't seem to get close to 1.2??v has a core with the bug that leaks current...preventing the higher voltage.:slapass:
