I have 3 machines, they did app 550 units yesterday, ran at 100% cpu 24/7 on 10 nodes. Not one node that produced over 150,000 cands yesterday. Think on that a while and you'll understand my anger. Excuse me, got a trip to take, blow up some dikes!

Gotta get my grades up a little (89.0 isnt high enough) so I'm gonna do just a little testing with rosetta on dedicated rigs with 512< ram. If anyone has any input on that field, please post. It looks like xtremesystems will turn into something like DPC where there are multiple subteams split throughout different projects.

Well, said, MM. I too came ( back ) here to get us to No. 1, but too much shenanigans. I left a project I believed in to run with a team I believe in, XS. I just uninstalled D2OL on 1 box, and started up BOINC Manager, again. Unfortunately the Rosetta server must be down - "NO WORK".

Ah well.

boincmgr is using 7.6mb and rosetta 72.5mb... although I told it to keep out of the page file a bit when I first set it up too ;)

this whole thing needs to be taken to heart this was my first team that i activly partivipated in aside from seti@home about 3yrs ago.
i never got involved in much for school but this is one thing i am proud of, and will look back fondly at all the hours everyone spent tweeking there rigs to run just right (maybe that is just me) MM i am completly with you on this that honnor was something to be admired and look upon as if everyone had it but apparently certain people dont have as much as others.

I agree with you totally. The people here are the best. I came here by accident. Was searching for a asus P4GD1, ran into Runmc(Ron), the guy treated me like a long lost brother. Knew I wanted a board for my friend, heard of one available and contacted the guy to have him hold it for me, then called me to tell me. I'd known him maybe a week or two! Tell me where you find people like this that go out of their way for total strangers? Few and far between! Introduced me to this forum. Met sayaa,treated me like an old friend, crunched for his germany team till christmas day and now on my own here. Saw the spirit of the guys here and knew I found the "right" kind of people. Maybe thats why it bothers me so much to see this happen. If it was a bunch of yo-yo's it wouldn't bother me, but not with the people I've met here. They(you) are the best!
Last point: This is the reason I want to see YOU on the team that has the #1 beside it, you guys earned it!

I sat here this evening with nothing but anger in my heart and anger clouds your thinking.
My first thought all night was what is needed to beat the Cows but after hearing the hurt and emotion in Rod's writing at what had happenned this evening I decided that what was more important than winning was loyalty.

XS does have some of the best people out there. And that is why it is such a good team. That was one of the reasons that I felt that I needed to help this team anyway I could. So I built 4 DX systems and have been running those since.
What bothers me the most is that this project means alot to me and my family. And for there to be a question about validity of some of the contributions just makes me sick. I firmly believe in this project and am going to continue to crunch for the cause. But I am going back to my old team to help them climb the ranks again. The way I think about this is, if someone is turning in phoney work then we need to work all the harder to turn in real cands. And I for one am going to do anything I can to support D2OL.
