Im geting a notebook sometime soon.

Was wondering how a Celeron M 1.4Ghz (360) performs compared to desktop CPUs.

as you r talking about laptop, there is no way to compare it to a desktop system directly because of the memory, video, hdd, lot more things which limits the CPU's performance.

if compared to a mobile P4 system, I'd like to assume that a Celeron M 1.4 can beat a P4-M 2.0 in most of the situations, while saves you a lot of power and operates cooler - more silent.
