How do I uninstall directx9? Maybe this is a stupid question or not the right place to ask, but I have been trying to figure this out all night.
I originally installed dx9 and the latest catalyst 3.0 drivers. Then I read that directx8.1b and cat 2.5 drivers are faster with the 9700 pro. I reverted back to the cat 2.5 drivers OK, but there is no uninstall option for dx9. I tried an app which would remove it and reload dx8.1, this appeared to work but said that it failed. Re-running the DX 8.1 install doesn't appear to do anything. It bombs out right away. 3dmark still says that I have dx9 installed... I really do not want to reload the OS on this box (w2k sp3). Has anyone figured this out???
