Hey guys, been a long time since I posted last. New faces everywhere.

My boss challenged me with a project....

We have some old SIS barebones systems with 400mhz celerons, sitting on a SIS Sahara 1000 motherboard. He wants to see if I can give them a bit of a boost to make some linux boxes out of them... and just generally see if i can do it.

What i've found out so far, i have the options to change the fsb (66 or 100 only) and have multiplier options. We can post fine and even run some cpu tests at 600mhz (100 fsb) but are running into problems with the memory. Is there a way to unlock these cpu's?? We have a ton of memory around that I can switch in and out to see if i can get a little more room, but i'd like to have the multi option at my disposal as well.

I realize this is old junk that probably isn't worth it, but as long as they're willing to pay me to mess around with this stuff I'm gonna take advantage of it.:woot:

Thanks in advance.

i dont think so. The last unlockable Intels that i remember were original pentiums, or maybe the pentium pro's. But i'm pretty sure the celerons are not unlockable.
