How do you create animated GIFs?

How do you create animated GIFs? (ie what software do you use?). I want to create a team sig for the members of my forum (will NOT be used in anyones sig on XS ;) ).

It needs to be as small as possible (file size), no larger than 50 kb. Dimensions are to be about 450 x 60 px. Is this possible with the file size i need? Also, I wont necessarily be starting from a .GIF image if you get what I mean.

I could help you with that sig. Just tell me what do you wanna see on it.
And btw animations are done by Adobe Image Ready ;) usually included in Photoshop CS

OK, I'd be greatful, if you could get the text and arrow like thingy ">" (ie custom pc-ff and the slogan harware & modding enthusiasts) of this image:

and put it into the psd file (zipped) i attached and save it as a gif with a size of 320 x 120 (i made it bigger to antialias it)

To give you an idea, the original imagege was like this:

would it be possible to chane the colour of the text in the frst image to black and then paste it onto the psd and resize it if you get what i mean?

Gif can also be created easily with GIF Animator.
I have used that software really easy to use.

But ur requirement is different.

Yeah thanks. I actually already finished it using photoshop to create GIFs and then using M$ GIF animator to create the animation.

PS. Nice to see another Indian guy around here :toast:
