So last night im in the middle of playing COD2 and the power surges, and my video card gives off the nasty hugantic pixelated screen so i turn it off and go to bed. Today I get a random BSOD before my computer fully starts up. So I rework my fans hinking maybe heat even though my temps are fine. With then net unplugged I keep getting the BSODs. Finnally I stick the net in and...no more BSODS or any of those Windows has recovered from a serious error things. So what would be cause my windowsa to bug out because of no network? Could the surge have borked my NIC?

help?
I certainly wouldn't count that out. Power surges can be nasty!!!
Do you have another nic to try? run your pc for a day and unplug the cable to see if it happens again.

maybe time for a fresh install anyway
Unfortunate, but probably right.
maybe try on a spare HD to see if the OS is the problem? :)
