does the 7800GT 1.5V BIOS mod raise VDIMM also?!

After reading the o/c results of users that have upped their voltage to 1.5... it seems that ALL of them are reporting high clocks on Core and Memory. I was just wondering if somehow the bump from 1.4V to 1.5V, increases more than VCORE, and possibly VDIMM also...?!

No. Its impossible to raise mem voltage through bios.

they probably modded the timings on the RAM to get a higher clock :)

I dont know about that. Maybe when the gpu clock goes up the gpu has more bandwith, allowing for higher clocks? just speculating.

I've always had an increase in mem clocks when doing just a gpu mod (about 6 Radeon cards). I don't know why.

This 1.5v bios mod for my 7800GT gave me a 60MHz increase on the mem too. :)

well logically the memory controller is located on gpu so more gpu volts = more mem controller volts so it can work at faster peramiters!

i modded my bios and mem is not affected. have to volt mod or pencil mod it

Yestarday i pencilmodded 7800gt CO mem to 580ohms ~2.22V
Tody i will flash bios with Delta 50 and 1.5Vgpu.

hmm... I guess there really isn't any way (at least in theory) for the 1.5v BIOS mod to pump extra V to the RAM, but it's still crazy that about 75%-80% of people report higher MEM clocks after the mod :confused:

oh well... I am getting ready to go Hard VMod anyways :hehe:

Vgpu@1.5 and Delta@50 didn't raise higher freq.
Maybe because high temps with stock HS.
