Is it possible to mod a Linux OS into a Counter Strike only OS? Like you pop it in, boots up, and only run enough files to play CS:S? LoL I want to see how many FPS I can get with pure CS OS:frag: :owned: :woot:

In Linux I think u might be able to run it through WINE, but that will slow it down alot. Your best bet would be to install Win2k (completely stripped with the service tweaks) and make a ram drive to install CS on.

just get a decent computer.

dual core 2ghz and a 7800gt oc'd will get you 100+ fps on a 1280x1024 res :P

You could always just strip down XP by removing all unnecessary components and features, then add CS to a startup script after ensuring that the entire program loads into available memory. That would pretty much do it.
