11601 on my new system. All I have done is slap it together and install the newest drivers and bios so far. Now, my question is what can I do/enable/optimize for best performance out of this system without overclocking? I am using an Abit KD-7 Raid, 512mb PC3500 Corsair, Hercules 3D Prophet 9700 pro, 520w Power supply, Athlon XP 2800+
Thanks

11K seems low for anything with a 9700 Pro in it. I have a similar system to you and got 16k with no overclock on my 9700 pro. Did you disable FSAA in the Display Properties? If I remember right, it's enabled by default. Set everything to "Performance" on the Direct3D Tab in the display properties.
And of course follow the sticky tweak guide... (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1279)

definitely format and reinstall your OS.. Win2k for AMD is still best, although if you prefer XP the only difference is in 3dmark. That score is waaay to low for the system you have

check your smart gart settings in advanced display settings, your probably running no AGP 4 or 8.
