View Full Version : Boot Computer using Keyboard P5WD2 Premium?

Does some1 know how i can boot up with the keyboard without pressing the power buttom. i tried keyboard ps2 using "space bar" to boot and nothing happened i also plugged my keyboard in ps2 and nothing more happened. My friend can with his motherboard and i really like this function, bery useful anyways if some1 know ill apreciate

There should be a standby voltage jumper on the board for PS2 ports, set it to enable the standby voltage then set wake from keyboard in bios. I don't have that MB but it's pretty much the same on most of them.

U don't need to adjust any jumpers. Just set the wake up on keyboard through bios.

i did this and it doesnt work

my keyboard get power, but when i press space or ESC+CTRL nothing happen

check you mobo manual
there should be a jumper near ps2 port
that is to choose the ps2 port powered by 5v or 5v standby
set to 5v standby and you can use kb booting

make sure that your 5v standby rating is above 2a iirc

I stated earlier that P5DW2 doesn't have any jumpers except from the clear cmos one.

i touch nothing and now it work well :P
