I tried the search and did'nt find much. what is the best way to check accuracy of digital thermometer. I know you use crushed ice and water what I don't know is what temp reading I should get from that test.
try measuring the temp of steam? its 100ish lol
water - 10-12?
ice -4 - 0?
that would be my best guess

Melt water from (pure) ice will be very close to 0C if there is still chunks of ice in it.
Boiling water (be careful!) is 100C.

use a cup of water find and old thermometer (the mercury ones) and measure the temp of the water and the use your digital one to see if is ok
boiling water will be near exact 100c, that should be a good check

Most use ice water. My cheapo digital($16) unit was -0.2degC in ice water. Id say thats pretty close.
