Hi, I thought Id post some pics of the suction lines I make.
Stainless steel flex hose is 1/2" non braided and bends quite well.
Ends are that of choice but standard ends are 3/8"
Stainless to copper braze is 40% silver, copper to copper braze is 15% silver

Thanks runmc :D Yes the ends are 3/8" it looks smaller but thats because the stainless is a bigger bore 1/2"

Kayl, that one is brazed :D
At first I couldnt get the filler metal to take on the stainless steel but that was because I was using the wrong flux, now I fhave found the right flux and rods and I quite enjoy brazing the stainless steel.
How does the 1/2" stainless steel work for you? Do you use it in your cascades?
I assume it works well as you have produced some of the coldest units here

Gotta say I've been using some of Johann's Flex-lines and they're very good.
Large bore, no restrictions, and they actually seem to hold tighter corners than a lot of the smaller ones I've used.
Nice lines, well worth using :toast:

could someone give me the name of a good north american supplier (preferably with an outfit in Canada) that I could purchase stainless braided suction line from? I ended up getting a teflon stainless braided suction line form yellow jacket, but it was too expensive, for my next few i"d like to cut the cost down a bit. sorry for the OT comment johann.
