1.402 actual vcore (1.425 in Bios) at 2555 with stock CT-479 and a P4 heatspreader on top of my Dothie 750. Its folding 24/7 for two weeks now at that speed ... no instability problems whatsoever (gaming, benching, everything :) )

All my systems are clocked according to topic.. that is.. no more than 24/7 stable speed (which for "Dothans" usually is pretty much the same as max.. give or take 50-100Mhz less).. :)

as for mine, is just an old i855 chipset board so i got no CT479.. Im on just a standard, no jumper settings.. and mine is a 400fsb chip. :) my HSF is a thermalright XP-90, my lovely heatsink.

anywhere from 1.5~ 1.6v seems to run just fine with Dothan chips. I would hesitate to go over 1.6v.

What do you mean? Board is kyosen vdimm modded at 3.42v, 2x256 BH5 5-2-2-2, everything as agressive as possible except no boot at 200 for 24/7. Pretty standard. I've went through five Dothans though and only this 780 has been able to get nearly this far, everything else fell at 2.7 flat or far below.

I take it then that you folks who are running past 1.6v had some benefit from the vdroop and vcore mods, might have to try them out.

I was stable @ 2.73 1.53V. I did hipro's mod and increased voltage to get 2.8Ghz. However, I am still not sure if the mod really helps because lower voltage is still no go. And I haven't tried >1.6V before, so I can't really compare.

And yes, I have to boot 167-199 (that is asus P4Gd1). For example, 14x200 does not work stable whereas 12x234 does.

24/7 (as it is my 24/7 rig) I run it @ 2793 (the result of awkward boot multi) - (17 x 164fsb) on 1.5 actual volts (so set around 1.45 in the BIOS). And RAM 2-3-2-5 timings @ 2.7 Volts (1:1). And all with the ground unplugged on my vdd mod leaving the chipset volts set to auto giving it 1.6 (if I set it to 1.6 it goes to 1.7).
Currently all stock cooling. (lol, but watch out for upcoming project)

It really is a pain in the ass. 1.57v is my sweet spot, and I consider it LOW. I'm an AMD man at heart, first thing I did after modding up the board and mounting the cooler was shooting it up to 1.85v. That's where I woulda liked to have started. It didn't do so well there though, started gaining speed pretty significantly as I lowered. But going much lower than that started slowing me down. I never used an SLK, but I did run at 2880 daily with 1.55v on the stock cooler. :p

I had that issue a while back with Need For Speed Most Wanted. It was a combination of running my ram timings to tight and running my GPU to high.
For 24/7 use I have them set @ stock. I found that when it crashed to my desktop it was the GPU and when it restarted all together it was my RAM. Try looser timings or another divider for your RAM maybe even a higher voltage, or if you've got your GPU OC'd bring it back to stock. I spose depending on how far you've pushed your FSB it could be chipset volts too. Experimentation through trial and error is the key.

Razor_Sniper

220*12 = 2640mhz

Only thing is I have to run with divider cause of crappy ram.

man ,i was also an AMD fan from the Slot A CPU's to my last Claw Fx55.I always loved the price/performance ratio wich AMD enchanted us from the good old days. But with El Dothan apearance,i just cant switch back to AMD these days. They simply dont have a similar powerfull processor.

Yours day-by-day 1.57v are measured with a DMM? Because for me it looks damn much;the stock cooler must be sweating at mid 60 C.

Depends on the proc, my junky ones kept scaling with more and more. The 780 I'm 95% that's where the sweet spot was. It seemed about identical at 1.5v flat. But my crappy 730 for example though prefers to be scorched at 1.6v+ 55C+. :p Seems like you just found one that likes 1.45v better. Maybe its an ES thing.
