Well, since I decided to be cheap, I didn't bother with any gas such as nitrogen or propane to purge my block while brazing. Well, it had oxidized so badly on the inside that when I had it pressurized up to around 150 psi, it blew a hole out the side of it. I'd take pics if I had a webcam showing the damage. So for anyone that wants to do this, don't be cheap.

Ewww!
If you got a hole on it after brazing that mean the copper was far from being thick enough.

it was a copper cap.
If i am not wrong oxidization will cause cap tubes to clog as the flakes cause by oxidization will travel with your refrigerant and cause clogging when it reaches an area smaller than it size.Thats why u need a filter drier/ strainer to catch it. Your evap pop probably because the copper has been heat up for too long and it started to melt thus leaving a thin layer. Oxy act torch can cause copper to melt fast if it is heated on a area for too long. So if you can heat up copper fast enough there wont be so much problems.
