I'm half-bummed to read this actually. I say "half" because I was really psyched to see the new contender in the mainboard chipset arena. However I have long liked Nvidia as well, so I am sure this acuisition benefit them greatly.

My guess is that Nvidia will keep the Uli group seperate to some degree, and Uli will be the provider for the low end chipset market for Nvidia, much like what ASRock is to ASUS. That's just my guess though. :D

My guess is that they will use ULI to program their HDD controllers so they stop getting corruption bugs.
