ok, my current setup is.....

P4 3.2ghz Prescott @ 3.9ghz Stock air @ 1.4v
MSI Neo2 Plat 915P
2x512 PQI PC4200 @ 326mhz 12-4-4-3

now, i do ALOT of video editing / encoding and im needing to push some more juice, now ive noticed that the 915p does'nt like anything higher than 240ish right?? or am i just crazy? now im not sure whats going to help me more, if i get another 2x512 and have 2gb or get water and push the cpu some more, but like i said i dont think mine likes anything over 240ish and its at 245 now, so i dont see anymore coming from that. So what i need to know is will another gig of ram be better than say getting a 925 or 955 chipset board and water cooling later?? i just cant decide and wonder what you guys would do.

What I would do:

Sell that and buy a 975X board and a Cedar Mill 651 ($270?) which could be OC to 250fsb on stock voltage & cooling so it'd be 250x17 @ 4.2ghz.

Or getting a Double Core Presler 930 ($315?) w/VT and 4MB of L2 cache, same as Cedar Mill in terms of overclocking. 250x15 @ 3.75ghz. I would think with water a 930 could to 270x15, when it could do 250x15 on stock cooling & voltage. Heck! maybe a Zalman could get it to that.

I have an ABIT AG8 w/DDR400 and a 540 @ 3.6ghz and I can't seem to see that much difference when I'm editing my home videos from my main system which is a P5WD2-P, 650 @ 4.02ghz and 1GB DDR2 946mhz.

Although that system will be replaced for when Preslers and Asus 975X boards arrive.
