Ok, so, I'm trying to see wht's the best ram for my newly bought Opteron CABNE 0544 EPMW and DFI NF4 Ultra-D.
Crucial Ballistix PC3200 2-2-2-6
or
Kingston Hyper-X PC3200 BH5
I've been out of the overclocking scene for over a year, so I haven't kept up to date, but I'm basically looking for the best ram to overclock that Opteron.
Advice please...

id go for pc4000 ballistix. can do lower speeds with decent timings. and clock higher with looser ones.

so overall PC4000 would be a better bet? with the NF4 chipset?
i would choose the ballistix too infact see sig i bought some my self! only thing is ALOT of people complain that they die after a couple weeks of use in a DFI mb wierd thing is mine are fine after 2 months of use in both ultra-d and deathpert series DFI mb's

peace perc,
Yeah I've read about that. Is it the ram or cpu that dies? and whats the correlation with the mobo? i wouldnt want to risk that, so would there maybe be a better option or whats the deal?
no its just the memory that "degrades" after time. ive talked to a few guys in this forum that have had 2-3 sets of this memory go bad on them. i am not saying dfi is the only mb people are having this mem go bad in im just saying so far its the mb most people say they were running when thier mem went bad. personaly man i have both the dfi and the ballistix and i have never used higher then 2.7v and still have a working pair...
