Wasnt sure were to post this just a warning thread,,,

I ordered a X-fi fatal1ty two days ago and against my better judgement orderd it from ECOST.com,,, I had shopped there before for audio gear and had no problems... It was $30 bucks cheaper then newegg and they were offering $7 dollars overnight shipping so I said what the hey,,,,

well I get the box and open it up and long story short its a Fatal1ty box,, and it has all Fatal1ty accessories yet to my surprise its an Extreme Music card. The model number is that of the Extreme music and in the spot where the 64mb of ram should be there is a black heatsink glued in place.

The model number on the box doesnt match the one on the back of the card and the box looked retaped ,,, I dont know if it was them or there supplier trying to pull the fast one but im sure they dupped a few people,,,

I called creative and let them know and one of the supervisors is calling me tomorrow and then Ecost just made me send them photos before they would let me return it,,, (freakin bastardds,) anyway,,, just becareful and make sure you always examine your orders,,,,

Probably a customer return placed back up for sale. I've seen that happen to people even from newegg, they order a 2x1gb kit and end up with 2x64mb PC133 in the box.

yeah could be a return customer mail back,, that the customer swapped for the fatal1ty or it could be a guy in the warehouse with to much free time,... ecost is giving me the run around wanting pictures and telling me they will call me back in a day or so,,, once they post it to my credit card im just gonna call and put a fraud complaint against them and have my card company dispute the charge, if ecost keeps this up,,,
