Hey All,
I would kindly like to know what values should I use to overclock my Opteron 146 (CABNE 0530 batch) running on a DFI SLI-DR Expert motherboard along with 2GB of G.SKILL (F1-4000USU2-2GBHZ) DDR1 memory:
(Please put the values right after the " = " sign. Thanks!

DRAM Configuration= - LOTS of options, press enter on it, its the reason why lots of people complain about DFI nF4 being to advanced, leave the ones you dont know the effect of, to Auto... - Or SEARCH for answer
FSB Bus Frequency= 250
LDT/FSB Frequency Ratio= 8x
LDT Bus Transfer Width= 4x
CPU/FSB Frequency Ratio= 200 / 400 (200mhz / DDR400)
PCI eXpress Frequency= 100
K8 Cool’n’Quite Support= disabled
CPU VID StartUp Value= - leave empty, or use instead of VID control..
CPU VID Control= your VCORE
CPU VID Special Control= depends on amount of clocking..
LDT Voltage Control= 1.2v
Chip Set Voltage Control= 1.5v
DRAM Voltage Control= VDIMM your ram = 2.7v I think..
PCI eXpress Configuration -
Dual NV Chip Card Support -
MAC Lan -
MAC Media Interface -
Machine MAC(NV) Address -
MAC Lan Boot ROM -
Internal Phy SATA ½ (enable if SATA disk..)
Internal Phy SATA ¾ (disable)
SiL3144 S-ATA RAID Control (enabled if you use it, disable otherwise?)
VIA 1394 Control (disabled)
MARVELL Giga LAN Control (enabled..)
Run MemTest86+ - DISABLED (its for memtesting..)

hahah I wish Overclocking was that easy - the fun is finding out on your own with your chip. Seems like cheating to just ask!

hehe, I didnt recommend any OC'ed speed :P - Just HTT*multi that would make use of his mem :)

I really appreciate your post. Please keep them coming! You see I don't have my DFI yet, so I just read up on OC'ing (on DFI forum) and wanted to compare my values (or theorical ones) with your suggestions. I completely agree with your points though.
Code, instead of asking you should be reading. Those values he told you don't have to work for your setup. They also could work but your chip is able to go faster. They may work but it's not stable and u will be freezing/rebooting randomly and you won't know why. The best idea is to learn what all those settings mean, learn how to adjust them, test for stableness and then go higher. Once its not stable bring it back down to the last stable point with ur max vcore and then you will knwo what you have. Ram is tough, alot of timings to learn, 1st and 2ndary, but you basically do the same for that also, you set speed/timings/vdimm once it becomes unstable raise vdimm or losen timings etc. untill you find your fastest/tightest stable config. If you ask questions like this you will never know how to do it on your own. It's really not even worth it to ask.

Point taken, I am still learning, but I really appreciate your point. Thanks!
