Hi !

I have an Ultra-D that won't post and beep after a memtest night. I tested my VX4000 and it's dead. I tried with a standard 512mb PC3200 stick and it's beeping again. Cleared cmos, removed the battery...same thing...3 red leds + beep. I do not have an other 939 cpu to test the board atm but I haven't pushed my 3700+ over 1.47v :( My psu is fine and all my components are WELL ventilated. Any idea ? Dead mobo ?

Thanks

Simon

id would first suspect your ram with it being "generic" or standard as you said.
what modules are they?

hmmmm in the worst case its a dead cpu... check the vcore and vdimm post by tony, low vcore and high vdimm can kill a64s :/

what vdimm were you running?
can you test the cpu in another rig?
carry it to a friends place or a pc-shop nearby maybe?

1. Vcore & Vdimm during memtest?

2. Did you try 1 stick? in slot dimm 1/2 (look on the board, the ones NOT next to teh CPU)

Inquiring minds want to know :D
