Strange, I'm running Prime 95 and was monitoring temps and vcore. Noticed that as soon as I run the torture test on Prime95, the vcore drops from 1.40 to 1.34v.

Is this normal behaviour?

if you measure with a dmm you'll see the board actually overvolts but the sensor reads low

Its either a Vdroop issue, poor board design (power regulation), motherboard component issue (capacitor/ FETs/etc), or a power supply issue.

Well at this point I'm not going to do any board mods. That would me removing the entire board and fiddling with those tiny solder points. I have to make sure that is the problem first.

my Asus vcore reading (from software) also fluctuates about 0.08v from idle to load, but that's a common issue with this board. Do the droop mod.

My mobo is pretty solid on vcore.

Ignore it and hopefully it goes away. a little bit of movement is fine and you would need to monitor it under load to see if it droops and how far.

Done the droop mod yet?
